Dr. Alvarez is a board-certified physician in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. Her interests in the field of gastroenterology include treatments for numerous conditions such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, and disease (IBS and IBD), peptic ulcer disease, chronic liver disease, GI bleeding, and screening for colon cancer. She is also fully trained to perform upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and video capsule endoscopy procedures.
